Thales acquires Cobham Aerospace Communications

Thales has completed the acquisition of Cobham Aerospace Communications, a supplier of advanced, ultra-reliable innovative safety cockpit communication and connectivity systems.

Cobham Aerospace Communications has around 734 employees, of which 190 are engineers. The company operates across France, South Africa, North America and Denmark.

Negotiations for Thales to buy Cobham Aerospace Communications began last July

Thales described the transaction as a major milestone that will complement and strengthen its avionics portfolio, creating a worldwide player in this market.
