ANRA and NAVOS to partner on vertiport operations

Advanced Air Mobility
First of its kind agreement on vertiport software

Unmanned traffic management company ANRA and NAVOS Air are to partner on how vertiports will handle eVTOL aircraft flightpaths.

The joint undertaking combines first-of-its-kind services and technologies to accelerate safe and compliant vertiport implementation in the USA.

NAVOS Air is an Instrument Flight Procedure (IFP) and landing facility service provider authorized by the FAA to develop and maintain non-Part 97 (special) satellite-based performance-based navigation IFPs and to conduct Heliport evaluation and designation.

Ty Le Roy, Chief Designer at NAVOS Air said, “As an extension of our Advanced Air Mobility instrument procedure integration work, we were able to leverage our helicopter, low-level flight and regulatory experience to obtain the first FAA conditional approval for a vertiport.

“Building upon this experience in our new partnership with ANRA, we will design FAA-compliant flight path infrastructure that will be incorporated into ANRA’s software for supporting VTOL aircraft arrivals and departures from vertiports.”

ANRA recently launched its Vertiport Management System (VMS), a web-based software platform for managing vertiport operations and data.

Amit Ganjoo, founder and CEO of ANRA said, “While many vertiport providers are busy building the physical infrastructure and conceptualizing the passenger experience, ANRA has developed the digital layer.

“Partnering with NAVOS allows us to bring a more complete solution to the market faster, especially when combined with our Urban Air Mobility traffic management technology.”

The ANRA-NAVOS partnership will also benefit from ANRA’s experience developing its unmanned traffic management (UTM) capability with the FAA, NASA, and internationally. It will allow unmanned aerial vehicle operators to plan and execute their flight operations.
