AI-software company DataBeacon has launched Tango5, a new training tool for air traffic controllers.

Tango5 is an interactive training platform that provides hands-on experience in air traffic management (ATM) and is designed to be engaging and playful, while fostering learning through active participation.

Tango5 integrates real-world scenarios into training, presenting challenges that mimic the daily tasks of air traffic controllers. With thousands of scenarios, it can tailor training to specific regions, sectors, and complexities. This approach enhances instruction quality and reduces reliance on traditional simulator sessions.

Currently launched as a beta pre-release version, Tango5 will continue evolving with new features, including dynamic traffic flow simulations and more complex scenarios, all powered by DataBeacon’s proprietary data engines that replicate aircraft flight patterns within specific airspace sectors.

David Perez, CEO of DataBeacon said: "With Tango5, we are redefining how selection and training for Air Traffic Controllers is conducted. Our solution enhances learning experiences and reduces the costs of traditional simulator-based training methods. And best of all, it's truly fun to play!

“We invite all aviation enthusiasts to join the challenge and experience it for themselves.”

DataBeacon’s data processing technology is already deployed across customer environments, supporting ATM through various setups, including hybrid on-premise solutions and cloud deployments.
