Databeacon to release Victor5 AI assistant development and operations platform for ATC

DataBeacon's air traffic management platform Victor 5 enables the development of AI assistants for ATC

Madird, Spain-based startup DataBeacon is to demonstrate its air traffic management platform Victor 5 at the Airspace World industry event this week.

Victor5 allows for the development and deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) digital tools to help manage air traffic operations and for strategic, flow and post-operation analysis.

Victor5 is data agnostic with the same functionalities available regardless of the surveillance data source used, such as terrestrial or satellite ADS-B (automatic dependent surveillance–broadcast), proprietary or public ADS-B networks, radar or MLAT (multilateration).

According to Databeacon Victor 5 can support different data formats and provides more flexibility when using digital assistants. It can switch data sources for surveillance in case of equipment failure, increasing the resilience and situational awareness of ATCOs in critical situations.

David Perez, DataBeacon’s CEO said, “Today we are on the brink of a groundbreaking evolution in aviation—one that embraces AI and digitalization. Big data and cloud computing have paved the way for the processing of massive historical dataset.

“As demonstrated on the Victor5 platform for air traffic operations, these same datasets can now train AI algorithms to support operational personnel by identifying critical safety and performance scenarios and providing operators with the necessary assistance to act.

“As a deep tech company, a partnership with data providers and ANSPs brings an incredible boost towards the adoption of breakthrough technologies into the future of aviation helping our customers to uplift their operational expertise”.

A software release candidate for Victor5 will be shown at Airspace World in Geneva, using different live air traffic data feeds and will be available to ANSPs for testing.
